Making your van work as advertising

Good preparation makes a signage project clearer to price, easier to schedule and more likely to achieve the result you need.

01

Keep the message short

Most people see a van for a few seconds. Lead with the business name and what you do, then one contact route. Everything else competes for attention.

02

Use contrast and scale

Large lettering and strong colour contrast are readable at distance and in traffic. Test the design at a small size: if it is unclear as a thumbnail, it will be unclear on the road.

03

Think about every side

The rear doors are often read the longest, in queues and at lights. Make sure the back of the vehicle carries the name, service and contact details clearly.

04

Keep a consistent fleet look

If you run more than one vehicle, a consistent layout builds recognition over time. Partial graphics can achieve this on a smaller budget than full wraps.
